Kapolei Magazine – Island Energy Acquires Chevron

Fifty-eight years ago, Standard Oil Company, later known as Chevron U.S.A., broke ground for a refinery on 263 acres at Mālakole Street, and began production two years later.  The company would become the first official tenant of the James Campbell Industrial Park, when the estate of James Campbell created the park on surrounding lands and opened for business in 1965.
