CHEVRON GAS STATIONS IN HAWAIʻI GET A REFRESH – TRANSITIONS TO TEXACO WITH TECHRON

Rebranded stations offer same rewards and popular Techron gasoline in every grade

KAPOLEI, HAWAIʻI – Island Energy Services, LLC (Island Energy), licensor of Texaco in Hawaiʻi, is pleased to announce the first transitions of Chevron retail stations in Hawaiʻi to Chevron’s sister brand, Texaco with Techron.

The stations at Stadium, Kapolei, and Beretania were the first to transition to Texaco.  Throughout 2017, the network of Chevron-branded gas stations statewide will be converting to Texaco with Techron while still offering the same quality service, Safeway reward program and use of existing Chevron/Texaco credit cards. The newly rebranded Texaco stations will also continue to offer the superior cleaning power of Techron – in all grades of gasoline: Texaco Unleaded, Power Plus and Power Premium.  At select stations, Texaco will be adding diesel to better serve its customers.

“We are excited to move forward with our retail stations under the new Texaco with Techron brand,” said Jon Mauer, Island Energy Services president and chief executive officer.  “As a locally run and managed company, we know how much Hawaiʻi drivers love Techron, and we will continue to provide our customers with the same high quality gasoline that drivers expect.  As Chevron, and now as Texaco, we are proud to be the only gas stations across the islands to offer Techron in every grade.”

Texaco with Techron’s new presence on the islands is tailored to Hawaiʻi’s unique culture to best serve local motorists.

“While there may be a new exterior look and feel at the rebranded stations, we can assure the community that we are 100% committed to Hawaiʻi and its residents,” said Albert Chee, Island Energy Services Vice President of Retail Marketing & Community Relations.

“We are committed to working with the dedicated retailers who helped build Chevron’s strong reputation in Hawaiʻi.  We look forward to building upon these relationships, and to thanking our customers for their loyalty by continuing with the rewards programs they enjoyed with Chevron, like the Safeway reward program, Chevron/Texaco credit card and gift cards.”

Island Energy purchased Chevron U. S. A.’s Hawaiʻi refining, distribution and retail assets in November 2016, including stations on Oʻahu, Maui, Kauaʻi, and Hawaiʻi Island.  Under Island Energy, all Chevron stations will be rebranded to its sister brand, Texaco with Techron while continuing to offer the same grades of Techron-enhanced gasoline: Texaco Unleaded, Power Plus and Power Premium.  To learn more about Texaco in Hawaiʻi, please visit www.TexacoinHawaii.com.
